FAQ (for queries people posted)
Q: What is the significance of practice at same place, same time?
A: It is advised to practice at same place at same time everyday. Same time is to create the habit pattern so that one will easily catch the practice. One can observe resistance towards practice decreases, increasing the effect of the practice. Same place is to accumulate spiritual vibration in that area. One would easily slip into the deeper state. One would be able to practice easily during group session/meditation as it would compound the spiritual vibration. Same is the case at the vicinity of the realized soul.
Q: Why yogic system recommends being vegetarian in diet?
A:
1. Food shall be satvik (pure) in nature. It should be easily digestible. Non-vegetarian food requires more effort from digestive system and hence it increases the body temperature, rate of metabolism. This would create uneasiness towards practice and practice will not give any fruitful results.
2. Eating non-vegetarian food is against the first step of Yoga itself (Yama - which is about purification of one's nature). As long as one does not follow the principles of Yama (non-violence), even if one practices any advanced yoga technique, one will not get any positive results in the path.
3. If one look at the anatomy of human teeth, it is made for herbivorous category of animals. Humans for the sake of taste, cook the flesh and make it tender so that non-carnivorous human teeth can chew.
4. When ones awareness and pure love start expanding at the advanced stages, one will see self in every living being & hence, cannot eat non-vegetarian food.
5. If one sincerely practices yoga, crave to eat non-vegetarian food will diminish slowly and eventually it will vanish totally.
6. As long as one does not have the power to create life, one does not have the right to take away life knowingly.
Q: Comment upon sanyas of swamis, after vow of celibacy married twice and again consensual relationship with many, a sign of bhrasth yogi (corrupt on the path)?
A: Karmic bondages are difficult to escape. Most of the swamis who are in the midst of general public are still hanging on to this bondage (from previous birth & from earlier ages in their present life). Any vow they take is only external, but the internal transformation has not yet happened on them. In addition to that, instead of burning their karmic effects, by making such mistakes they make it more worse. Sincere seeker would directly approach the higher self/god instead of taking the route through such swamis.
Q: The purpose of Babaji to retain same physical body and is it not against the theory of Swamy Yukteswar (holy science)?
A: Mahavatar Babaji is eternal bliss, universal consciousness, higher self. He is retaining physical form to guide the sincere seekers. There are no karmic bondages on him. No theory applies on him.
