Kriya Yoga

Kriya Yoga is a systematic approach designed by Mahavatar Kriya Babaji to transform oneself to merge in universal bliss.

Karma
Whatever one sows same one reaps. One has to bear the fruits of one's own deeds. If one plants an apple tree, one will get apples when the time is right. Similarly if one plants a tree which radiates stinky odor, one will get the same.
At the conscious level there is nothing right or wrong, all deeds are treated equally. Whatever is good to one may be bad for others. At the level of material world, there exists duality, so comes good and bad.

For every action, there are consequences. One has to go through the consequences of the mistakes made knowingly or unknowingly. That is the law of Karma. It can happen in current lifetime or in nextlife. For the unknowingly made mistakes, help will come in right time to come out of the consequences if one has done good deeds also. For knowingly made mistakes, one already acknowledged to face consequences, so one should not question, law of karma will force them to undergo consequences (this is where people blame god!).

If one eats up public money (corrupt officials), that person in many next lifes will have to repay the public by doing public services like cleaning the public places (clearing the mess created by others).
If one has used his hands for beating others, in next life he will surely be handicapped. If he has also done good deeds, he may get support from others when he is physically challenged. If one is involved in killing act, he/she will surely be both physically and mentally challenged in next life.
Treat others the way in which you want others to treat you.

For good karma, results will be good and for bad karma, results will be bad. Good karma and bad karma don't cancel each other. When one is facing the consequences for the bad karma, he will get support to face it and get out of it because of the good karmic deeds in the past.

Yoga helps one to burn the karma and be free of its effects.

Yoga
Initial stages of yoga prepares one to uproot the karma and its effects whether it is good or bad and after that it takes one to higher levels of consciousness and finally helps one to merge in ultimate bliss.

Yoga a mistaken word
On hearing the word yoga, in most of the peoples mind comes the idea of asanas, different postures, etc. Asanas are the subset of yoga to tone body for higher yoga kriyas. Some have developed a misconception that the aim of Yoga is to get some supernatural powers (In reality, there is nothing supernatural. As and when one's boundary expands one will realize that there is nothing supernatural, everything is actually natural) which are termed as Siddhis. Siddhis are byproducts of Yoga and they are not the goals of Yoga. For the quick progress in yoga sadhana one should stay away from siddhis.

Guru and Teachers
Gurus are the self realized ones. They have attained Nirvikalpa Samadhi. They come to lower plane to give the world, knowledge from higher-self. They can go back to Nirvikalpa Samadhi at will. Whatever they teach comes directly from higher-self. They speak truth, they preach direct knowledge and talk about direct experiences. They have answers for all your questions. They never seek anything in return for the teachings they are offering. How can they accept anything when their lower ego is lost completely? They are merged in superconscious bliss. Gurus don't follow lineage. For them, lineage starts at the higher-self and ends at higher-self.
Gurus are the ones who teach how to seek God within-self.

Teachers are still in the path of self-realization. They have learnt some of the techniques from elsewhere, they got little bit of control over those techniques and teaching them. Some of them (or most of them) will seek money in return for whatever they are teaching. There is a price tag attached to their teachings. Their knowledge and experiences are second hand. They need to refresh them periodically before teaching it to others. They don't have answers to most of the questions. They use their logical brain to give answers convincingly. They usually stick to a lineage as a support for their teachings.

Gurus and Teachers show the path, it is one's own responsibility to put efforts for getting self-realization.
Some people have belief that only Gurus can give self-realization. In that case, they must test their belief by asking their gurus to give them Nirvikalpa Samadhi right away, without any constraints.
When disciples demands for self-realization, Gurus usually say, when the time is right you will get it. What actually means is, you have to walk your own path, it is your inner transformation to happen and when you are there, you will get it. You have to burn your karmas accumulated in the past lives through disciplined practice. They will not sideline the request of their disciple because it demotivates them. Instead they will give hope, persuade them to practice and say I am with you, you will get it.

For instance, outside world thinks that Swami Vivekananda got realization from a mere touch from his guru Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. What they don't know is Swami Vivekananda had done rigerous Tapasyas in his past lives and he was already complete when he took the current incarnation. He was already complete with spiritual essence. Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa just had to open the door in him, so that Swami Vivekananda's spiritual knowlede will flood out and world will realize that.

Self-realization is one's own destiny and everyone has to walk independently in that path, because it is about one's own inner transformation towards divinity.

There are different paths of Yoga and hence different schools. Each with a specific purpose of helping people with different personalities. What suits one may not suit other. Gurus know what is best for their student. So, they never critisize the other yogic path.

Teachers are limited to what they know. So, some of them critisize other saying whatever they teach is the only ultimate path. When you see any teacher critisizing others you know what to do then? just run away from them.

Patent
Consciousness is in existence always, there is no beginning or end to it. It existed even before the material world manifested and continue to exist even after material world ceases to exist. When the material world manifested, all forms of matter (living and non-living) got limited consciousness. Early humans started questioning about the boundary of existence and boundary of consciousness. So, there started a need to lookout for unlimited consciousness. Ancient sages from India had an understanding of the universal consciousness and they devised methods to systematically raise one’s levels of consciousness from finite to infinite what is presently grouped under one word Yoga. Those sages wanted the world to progress towards the final goal so, they brought knowledge of Yoga down to public. It is quite unjustifiable when some organizations claim that they are the founders of yoga and patenting the techniques of Yoga. In reality all such patents don’t stand on any concrete foundation, they are nothing but lies. In brief, “Yoga cannot be patented”. It is property of the world which everyone has the right to know and experience.
